The Heirs Episode 15 Fashion Recap and Review:
After playing a part in Cha Eun Sang admitting to everyone that she isn’t New Money, Rachel Yoo walked out. Choi Young Do went after her and told her if Cha Eun Sang didn’t willingly admit about her real social status, he would do something with her. Rachel sneers at his apparent one-sided love affair with Cha Eun Sang.
Myung Soo walks in to get Young Do’s reaction about Cha Eun Sang’s revelation, only to walk away after they awkwardly overheard three girls talking about Eun Sang and Kim Tan’s kiss.
I failed to notice Myung Soo’s cap in the previous episode. Let’s take a moment to appreciate the awesomeness of that bone design on his laminated cap.
These two are up to something again. Kim Tan’s mom was attempting to open the Chairman’s safe. Eun Sang’s mom apparently watches way too many spy films because she was able to show a decent and effective decoding trick to the madam. She was able to open the safe and found a lot of incriminating photos inside.
This 40s-inspired floral-printed dress is a bit tame for Kim Tan’s mom’s usual home garb, don’t you think?
The kiss that had Lee Bo Na throwing a hissy fit. To get back at Kim Tan, Rachel kissed Hyo Shin sunbae. And to get back at Hyun Joo, who came at the party to confront Hyo Shin about missing the exam he was supposed to be in, Hyun Joo kissed Rachel Yoo back.
Can we please not let Park Shin Hye get drunk in her dramas? Her drunk acting is awful.

Kim Tan met up again with his mom. The latter gave him a few change of clothing. I wonder what she wears for grocery shopping. But then again, she probably doesn’t do domesticated work because she just drinks and stuff.

Out of all the parents in this drama, these two are probably the worst. And that’s saying something! Their kid attempted to commit suicide because he is obviously unhappy about the path his parents have chosen for him. But they still haven’t learned their lesson.
Kim Tan heard about Hyo Shin skipping his entrance exams. Despite Rachel Yoo’s antics at the party, he doesn’t feel uncomfortable around Hyo Shin at all. He asks about why he skipped his exams but Hyo Shin evades.
Thanks to his mom, Kim Tan now has something new to wear, if by new we mean another fur-hooded jacket. On the other hand, Hyo Shin looks cute in his two-tone coat.

So Cha Eun Sang isn’t off the hook yet. The mean girls ganged up on her after PE class. Guess who comes to her rescue?
Why, Choi Young Do, of course! Eun Sang has her hooded sweater and Young Do donned this grey Wear the Crown sweater that is supposed to be Jeguk High’s PE staple, or so I surmised.

So the Chairwoman hasn’t forgotten the incident at the school’s broadcasting club. True to her words, she called Kim Tan’s brother and Young Do’s father.
I said this before but I’ll say it again – this woman sure knows how to dress up! Her choices of clothing aren’t even remotely matronly. I can definitely see the other young girls in this drama wearing some of her clothes. Heck, I’d shop in her closet, given the chance!
I totally wasn’t expecting Young Do’s dad to be lenient to him after the meeting. And apparently, so did Young Do. His dad is even proud that for once in his life, he beat Kim Tan (in school ranking).

A much-needed soft moment for these two. Kim Won, who dressed up in checkered suit, couldn’t believe Kim Tan got last place in the school’s ranking.
After the incident in the Chairman’s office, Hyun Joo and Kim Won are still not on comfortable speaking terms. Life goes on for Hyun Joo though. She assigns a group homework to her class.
Blazers seem to be an important element to her daily attire. I think it is fool-proof too! It can easily make an outfit look more stylish.

Kim Tan’s mom met up with Rachel’s mom. At first I thought she was going to patch things up with them but it turned out that she listened to his son’s request. She used the photo of Rachel’s mom kissing Chan Young’s dad to force her into backing out of the engagement for real.
I really couldn’t get anything past the ornament on Kim Tan’s mom’s neck. That statement necklace and the fur jacket screamed “sammonim”.
About the project Hyun Joo gave to the students. I wasn’t paying attention but I think she gave a book review group project.
Rachel spiced up her school ensemble with a maroon coat.

Much to her disgruntlement, Eun Sang ended up being group mates with Young Do and Kim Tan. You can really see that these two have already worked out their differences. They are just too stubborn to put their feelings into words.
While they were watching the movie adaptation of the assigned book, a few guys came in to get Kim Tan.
The bodyguards took Kim Tan home as per the instructions of the Chairman. From hereon, Tan can’t leave the house or even go to school. His phone has also been confiscated.
Who wears stuff like this at home? Only Kim Tan’s mom, I suppose. That peplum top with the ruffle-like collar has a bit of an avant-garde feel to it but she tamed it down with that lilac pencil skirt. Win!
Rachel’s mom told Rachel the news about her broken engagement with Kim Tan. I felt a moment of pity for Rachel as she weeps over this news, saying that she, at least, felt something for Kim Tan whereas her mom’s failed marriage was nothing more than collateral damage for their business. It’s not like she did spectacular things to hold on to KT though. Or show how much she loves him. She probably had a shot at making KT feel something for her if she was more expressive about the fact that their engagement was more than just a business deal to her instead of frequently flinging that deal to his face.

Rachel’s mom looks so pristine and put-together, as always. That yellow fuzzy sweater made her look like she was glowing.

The task of taking Cha Eun Sang home fell to Young Do. They were surprised to see the house more guarded than usual.
Cha Eun Sang changed from her part time work outfit to a green shirt, a grey double breasted coat, a pair of jeans and a pair of high top sneakers.
Up to this point, I still can’t figure out whether Chang Young’s dad is a villain or not. He was sacked by the Chairman because he suspected him as an ally of Kim Won. He was offered a position as Kim Tan’s tutor.
It’s nice to see Chang Young in something other than his school uniform.
Now that Kim Tan has access to his wardrobe, we are treated to several outfit changes from him. I love the color of this sweater. He matched it with a pair of skinny bleached jeans. Can’t go wrong with a sweater and jeans, I always say.

With Kim Tan not allowed to go to school, Young Do is now glued to Eun Sang’s side. They even look like a couple in almost matching ensembles. Can I get a yay from the Eun Sang-Young Do shippers?

Someone spilled the secret of Kim Tan’s legitimacy and it is now all over the news. The students of Jeguk High, who probably have nothing better to do, are all eating the news. I love that wise crack Lee Bo Na made about her marrying Jo In Sung if Kim Tan is illegitimate.
Lee Bo Na is back in her berets. She wore a red beret this time and she teamed it up with a coat dress.

Young Do finally takes pity on Kim Tan’s plight. Using their homework as an excuse to visit him, he went to Kim Tan’s place, bringing with him an army of his own.
He also took the time to change into this checkered coat, sweater and collared top. Kim Tan’s style rubbing off on you, YD?

After hearing from Young Do that his secret has been made public, Kim Tan immediately thought of his brother and what he must be going through now that the news of his illegitimacy is out. He devised a plan to escape, signing up Young Do as a willing accomplice.
He also took the time to throw on this coat that matched his blue turtleneck sweater to perfection. The stylists could really do no wrong where Kim Tan is concerned.

KT successfully got to his brother. But Kim Won was mad at him for holding a large portion of the stockholders’ share and probably suspecting the latter is devising a diabolical plan to oust him. KT promised he won’t do anything to take the company over but KW didn’t believe him. He said the only way he will trust KT is if the latter will go back to the states and never go home to South Korea again. KT was hurt and said because of this, he won’t give his shares up.
While all that was going on, Cha Eun Sang was fighting her own battles. She was called by the Chairman, possibly threatened, unless she goes abroad together with her mom. After that, she goes up to Kim Tan’s room, much to the latter’s surprise.
Eun Sang kept it simple in this distressed sweater and grey top.
